Petia YnevaPetya Yaneva has a Master’s degree in Classics (1981) and a PhD degree in Philology (2000) with a thesis on “Textology and Linguistic Peculiarities of Greek Collections: Sources of Simeon’s Collection (according to Svetoslav’s Copy of 1073)”. Associate Professor of Classical Languages (Ancient Greek) since 2002. Specialised in Moscow, Thessaloniki, Athens and Budapest. Research interests focus on Byzantine and Old Bulgarian Studies. Teaching experience includes courses in Ancient Greek syntax, Greek historical grammar (to Modern Greek Philology students), Ancient Greek (to Balkan Studies students), Ancient Greek language and authors (Ionic prose), Byzantine language (to Modern Greek Philology students).
