Nevena Panova has a Master’s degree in Classics (1999) and a Bachelor’s degree in Hungarian Language and Literature from the University of Sofia (1999), a PhD degree in Ancient Greek Literature (2004). Teaching experience includes courses in Ancient Greek language and authors (philosophical prose, historiography), Ancient Greek literature (to undergraduate and postgraduate students), academic writing, Ancient Greek for non-experts. Research interests focus on history and theory of Ancient Greek literature, philosophical prose (Plato), reception of Antiquity in Bulgarian literature and culture and in modern philosophy. Specialised at the University of Salzburg (2001-2002) and the University of Saarbrücken (2010); guest fellow at Hardt Foundation, Geneva (2008, 2010).
